t h e m a y f i l e s is foremost a family blog, chronicling everyday life. Life including natural, healthy eating (with recipes thrown in at random), home educating (with ideas popping up sporadically), an attempt to homestead on .2 acres (with very meager yields), raising 3 of 4 children with a rare genetic disorder, and lots of highly personal family triumphs and failures. You may also find an eclectic array of musings on politics, exercise, sewing, emergency preparedness, backyard chickens, and religion. This blog isn't a campaign to glorify anyone or anything. Just simply a record.

A Sense of Normalcy

Today I made bread, did laundry, piano practiced with Ellery, read to the children, had the children read to me, and did lots of pumping, feeding and snuggling with my four gorgeous children.

Three of them happened to be little rays of sunshine!

I also felt shin splints, rickety knees, and an aching incision from my 2 laps around the park yesterday. It is always a long road back, but at least I am on the road!

Welcome home Berkeley! It looks like she is getting loved on by all. So glad you are all adjusting well.

wow, sounds like an awesome day for you other than the pain. I'm so not looking forward to the recovery back to where I was before I got pregnant! It's amazing how hard it is to get it all back, but like you said you are on the road!!!
